About The Band

Lisa Garon - Guitar and Vocals

Lisa Garon

When Lisa Garon sings, people stop and listen. Her vocal range is a force to be reckoned with. You'll hear her alternate between the high harmony and the low harmony and never miss a beat. She brings an honest and fresh voice to a music that is filled with pretenders. Lisa has a style that is all her own and she approaches each song with the zeal of a person on a mission. Her goal isn't just to learn the song; she wants to own the song as well. Her musical roots run deep and she is the band's anchor to the traditional songs and music.

Rick Hohowski - Guitar, Dobro, Mandolin and Vocals

Rick Hohowski

Rick is a versatile guitarist known around the "Jersey Shore" for his fingerstyle guitar playing. Rick laid down his finger picks and picked up a flat pick when he started performing with Fandango Sky in 2006. He brings influences from other musical styles and adds insight and a certain panache to the Fandango Sky arrangements. He is a human metronome, as obsessed with timing as he is with the music. Rick sings lead when coerced but is most comfortable standing way out on stage left singing back-up and picking. Rick's outstanding guitar breaks and haunting dobro are a key element of the Fandango Sky sound.

Mike Garon - Bass and Vocals

Mike Garon

Mike Garon is the man that provides the foundation for what has become the Fandango Sky sound. He seems equally at home standing on stage playing his bass as he does belting out any number of songs that he sings the lead on. A showman to the core, Mike is as fun to watch as he is to listen to. Mike's musical influences go back to his early days when he would accompany his father to the now legendary "Home Place" of Joe and George Albert in the Jersey Pinelands. It doesn't get any better than that.

Mike Stanislawski - Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin and Vocals

Mike Stanislawski

Mike Stanislawski started playing music like most of his peers, as a guitarist. Mike says he took up the banjo because he wanted to learn how to fingerpick the guitar. Years have passed and Mike still doesn't fingerpick the guitar but he has developed a unique banjo style that can be both traditional and contemporary. His melodic ramblings within the musical structure of a song is something you need to experience. Mike also lends his crystal clear tenor voice to many songs and will still step up and play the guitar on a song as well. Recently Mike has found an interest in the mandolin and adds the sound of his vintage Orpheum mandolin to the Fandango Sky mix with the same dedication as he does his banjo.

Mike Edgerton - Mandolin, Guitar, Six-String Banjo and Vocals

Mike Edgerton

When perennial candidate for Governor Mike Edgerton steps behind the microphone you never know what he's going to say. If he's to be believed, neither does he. Mike has been playing guitar for over 40 years. In 2005 he decided to take up the mandolin to fill a void in the band. It has become his primary instrument. You'll hear Mike singing harmony with anyone that will let him sing. Funny stuff aside, Mike and the band perform serious music. This former choir director loves music and it shows. He seems at home on the stage and has had the pleasure of performing in venues as diverse as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and Carnegie Hall.
